A Mainnet Launch That Has Not Stopped the Bleeding

PI's mainnet went live more than a month ago, and since then the price has been in a steady decline. The market cap has lost around 70 percent of its value. I want to talk about one factor that I believe is central to this problem: PI is not listed on Binance.

I know this is a sensitive topic. Many community members insist that PI does not need Binance, and some even claim that Binance will fail without PI. I understand the pride behind those words, but I have to be honest about what I see.

Arrogance Is the Enemy of Growth

I know a business partner, one of the wealthiest people I have ever met. He is also one of the most humble. He once told me that confidence is a strength, but overconfidence makes you miss opportunities. No one succeeds alone; we need to cooperate with others. That lesson applies directly to PI.

PI is like a child that is still growing. Even if it becomes very strong in the future, it will still need friends and partners. Refusing to cooperate with Binance simply because we think we do not need it is a sign of overconfidence.

There was actually a Binance community vote about a potential PI listing. Nearly 300,000 people took part, and 86 percent voted in favor. Binance did not approve the listing, which is why many in the PI community are now frustrated. Still, I believe PI needs Binance.

User Quality Is Not the Same as User Count

PI has a very large community. Some claim 70 million users, which is a huge number. But most of those users are still in the free mining stage. The number of people who have actually put serious money into PI is much smaller.

Binance users are different. They are used to paying for trades. They include professional investors, experienced funds, and institutional buyers. Their buying power and influence on the market are on a completely different level from a mostly mining community.

If PI wants to be taken seriously as an investment, it needs access to that kind of capital.

Liquidity Determines Real Tradability

I do most of my large trades on Binance for a simple reason: smaller exchanges cannot handle my order size. When I try to buy a large amount on a low-liquidity platform, my order can wipe out the sell side, pushing the price up and causing huge slippage.

In practice, I might end up paying 5 percent, 10 percent, or even more in extra costs just because the market depth is too shallow. On a platform with only a few million US dollars of daily volume, buying one million US dollars worth of a token is nearly impossible without moving the price dramatically.

If PI were listed on Binance, the trading depth, attention, and potential capital inflows would increase enormously. That would make PI a much more serious asset for real traders.

Institutions and Newcomers Prefer Trusted Venues

Many new retail investors and large funds prefer to trade on Binance or similar major platforms. Binance is seen as more regulated, more user friendly, and safer for newcomers.

A Binance listing would raise PI's visibility significantly. It would put PI in front of more outsiders, including institutional investors who currently ignore projects that are not listed on major exchanges.

When a coin is not on Binance, many professional investors simply will not look at it. That is a hard truth.

What PI Must Do Instead of Fighting Binance

Some people argue that PI can survive on its own ecosystem and internal exchange without Binance. That may be possible in the future, but right now PI is not there yet.

Binance is the world's largest crypto exchange. Its trading depth, market reach, long-term credibility, and existing user base are enormous. The reality is that Binance does not need PI; losing PI would likely have very little impact on Binance's overall business. PI needs Binance much more than Binance needs PI.

So the constructive path is to show Binance and the whole market the real value of PI's huge community. We should not be emotional. We should use data and action. For example, we can organize more systematic social media votes and discussions, and we can submit new listing applications to Binance. We need to work together as a community to push for that listing.

A Call for Rational Cooperation

I know some of you will not like hearing this. But I believe that people who truly care about PI's future need to look at this rationally. Cooperation with Binance is a strategic move to unlock the next stage of growth.

PI has a massive community and a real vision for a peer-to-peer currency. That is valuable. But without a major exchange listing, that value will remain locked away from the largest pools of capital.

I would love to hear your views in the comments. I will also be discussing PI's listing prospects, its applications, and its future value with a friend in an upcoming video. Subscribe so you do not miss it.
