Why I Built This Test
This video is around ten minutes long, but it took me a good month to put together. I asked twenty to thirty friends and family members to help me. The questions you will find here are the result of years of experience condensed into a format I have not seen anywhere else. According to the feedback from my friends, the test is quite effective and accurate.
I did not want this to feel like a generic online quiz. The goal is to help you understand whether crypto is right for you, what kind of projects suit your investor type, and what you can do to improve. It is meant to be fun, but it is also built to make you step back and think.
How the Test Works
Grab a piece of paper and a pencil. The test consists of ten questions. There are no right or wrong answers. For each question, read the options carefully and choose the one that best matches your current situation.
Each answer is worth a different number of points: answer A gives you 10 points, answer B gives 7 points, answer C gives 5 points, and answer D gives 0 points. Once you have answered all ten questions, add up your total score. Your final score places you into one of five investor profiles.
- Answer A: 10 points
- Answer B: 7 points
- Answer C: 5 points
- Answer D: 0 points
The Ten Questions
The test covers different aspects of your life and mindset. I won't list every possible answer here, but I will walk you through what each question asks you to examine.
The first question is about your personal and family financial situation. It is a straightforward look at where you stand today. The second question asks how you usually spend your free time. This one is tricky for me as a YouTuber, because I am often working, learning, and having fun at the same time.
The third question tests whether you can understand the impact of a new crypto project when you see a news item about it. Can you see what problem it solves? That is not easy unless you follow a lot of news and regularly analyze projects. The fourth question asks how much research you do before investing in one of the endless new projects out there.
The fifth question looks at the next step after studying a project: how much do you invest, and do you pay more attention to security or return on investment? The sixth question excludes meme coins, because they explode fast and die even faster. For other types of projects, it asks how you react when an influencer, a star, or someone like Vitalik promotes a project you follow and admire.
The seventh question asks what you do after you choose to hold a token for the long term. The eighth question is about the buzz stories of people becoming rich overnight: do you think such an event is the only way to reach financial independence? The ninth question asks about your goal when you invest: long-term stability and returns, or quickly accumulating big capital gains? I honestly want both, but I had to choose one answer.
The last question is about training. How much time do you spend daily on research, analysis, and learning about the crypto world?
The Five Investor Profiles
Once you have your total score, you can see which profile you are linked to. The test categorizes people into five profiles: the wise and serene conductor, the insightful analyst, the builder of stability, the offensive adventurer, and the dreamer who hopes to get rich overnight.
For each profile, I share my own analysis and also some small tips to work on the weak points of each one. I recommend saving or screenshotting that part so you can refer to it later. However, I cannot guarantee that your result is 100% accurate, because this test comes from your old friend Cédric. That is why I ask you to share your results in the comments and tell me if something does not match your profile or your story.
My Own Result
I also took the test myself. My total score was 84 points, which places me in the insightful analyst category. I find that it fits me rather well. I like analyzing and holding projects that seem solid over the long term.
Of course, for videos I sometimes do short-term things, and you know I like meme coins. But that remains a tiny part of my portfolio, and I do not spend much time or money on them, because meme coins require a lot of time. I shared the breakdown of my portfolio a few weeks ago, and it is consistent with this profile.
So the description suits me. That means I still have work to do on my weak points, but I am working on it.
What to Do With Your Result
This test is not financial advice. I said it in the video and I will repeat it here. The results are there to help you reflect, take a step back, and have fun. Use them as a starting point, not as a definitive judgment.
I am genuinely curious to know your result. Tell me in the comments whether it matches your self-image. If there are enough testimonials, that could help me give birth to a version 2.0 of the test that is even better. Maybe it is already perfect, but your feedback will tell.
A Different Way to Look at Your Crypto Style
After a month of work and help from dozens of people, this test is my attempt to make you see your investor personality more clearly. It is not about right or wrong answers; it is about knowing where you stand and where you can improve.
Take the time to answer the ten questions honestly, add up your score, and discover which of the five profiles fits you. Then come back and share your result. The more we compare experiences, the better the next version will be.
